According to police, Araujo had been thrown out of the casino April 17 for arguing with a female patron.

Police said he returned to the casino about midnight and placed a gasoline-filled orange juice container inside an entrance door and lit the container on fire. A wall and carpet area suffered damage.

A customer at the casino saw the fire and put it out with a fire extinguisher, police said. All casino customers were evacuated as a precaution until the smoke cleared.

Casino security guards identified Araujo to police after he was seen on surveillance video at the casino and a nearby gas station.
