Officers saw someone arriving in a stolen semitractor stolen from Fed-Ex that was hooked up to the stolen trailer, police said.

Detectives followed the vehicle to a warehouse in the 6900 block of Northwest 35th Avenue, where it began to be off-loaded. Police said officers approached as the stolen merchandise was being off-loaded when the driver suddenly took off on foot.

The driver was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. Police said Diego Armenteros, 26, was arrested.

Investigators said the stolen products originated from Georgia and were destined for the Frito-Lay distributor in Medley. They said a recovery of the product, semitractor and trailer totaled $139,000, Miami-Dade police said.
