Man attacks 3 employees after stealing deodorant from Walgreens, deputies say

Nathaniel Owens, 54, accused of throwing rocks at victims

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. ā€“ A Fort Lauderdale man is facing multiple charges for attacking three employees after he stole deodorant from an Oakland Park Walgreens, deputies said.

The incident happened Sunday at 601 E. Commercial Blvd.

According to Broward Sheriff's Office deputies, the store manager caught Nathaniel Owens, 54, stealing two bottles of Axe deodorant valued at $22.

Deputies said three employees chased Owens down in one of their cars, and Owens threw multiple rocks at them, smashing the car's front passenger side window.

One of the victims was struck in the right arm and head. The other two victims were not injured in the attack.

Deputies said the deodorant was not recovered.
