Man charged with aggravated battery after hotel fight

Victim choke, punched 5-10 times

MARATHON, Fla. – One man is being charged with aggravated battery after two men got into a fight at a hotel in Marathon Sunday around 8 a.m.

Deputies were called to a Holiday Inn Express where they found the 21-year-old victim outside with injuries to his face, including a bloody eye and missing teeth.

When deputies saw Taylor Harrison leaving the hotel, they began questioning him.

Harrison denied to deputies that there was any altercation, but when the deputies were taken to the room where Harrison was staying with friends, they noticed what looked like teeth on the night stand.

The friends then admitted a fight had taken place between the victim and Harrison after the victim asked for a pillow and blanket.

The victim said Harrison punched him and then he blacked out. When the victim came to, Harrison was choking him.

Medical staff said the victim's injuries were consistent with being punched five to 10 times.
