LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office identified the bicyclist shot outside a laundromat in Lauderdale Lakes late Tuesday.
BSO says 20-year-old Gerry Metayer was riding his bike when someone shot him in the parking lot of 2536 N. State Road 7 about 8:56 p.m.

"They [deputies] were just around the corner and found the man injured on the ground right in front of that coin laundry, next to his bicycle," said Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dani Moschella.
Metayer was transported to Broward Health Medical Center in critical condition.
"It's unclear right now what the motivation in this shooting is," added Moschella.
