NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Police are searching for a man who robbed a Walgreens store early Thursday morning in North Miami Beach.
The robbery was reported about 3:45 a.m. at 791 NE 167th St.
According to a police report, the man walked in through the front door, went behind a cash register and removed a cash drawer with money inside.
Police said it appeared on surveillance video that the man was carrying a handgun near his front right pocket, although no gun was displayed during the robbery.
Police said the store manager chased the thief briefly before he stopped and called 911.
The robber was wearing a red and white skully hat, a gray sweater with a black-and-white diamond pattern and black shoes with white bottoms.
