A man who authorities say was stabbed in the neck by his girlfriend has been released from the hospital.
The stabbing incident happened Saturday in the area of Northwest 33rd Terrace and Northwest 9th Street in Lauderhill.
Lauderhill Fire Rescue officials said after the man was chasing his girlfriend around the house, she armed herself with a knife.
The man was transported to Broward General Hospital. Authorities said he was being released Saturday night after sustaining minor injuries.
Officials said a detective will be receiving a statement from the man and will then take him to jail.
Eyewitness accounts proved the man was the aggressor. As a result, authorities said he will be charged with domestic violence battery.
The man's name has not been released at this time.
