MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man shot and killed his estranged wife at a southwest Miami-Dade County shopping center before turning the gun on himself, police said.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot of a shopping center near Coral Way and Southwest 87th Avenue.
Miami-Dade police said the man and his wife met in the parking lot to exchange property. At some point, an argument ensued and the man shot her.
The man then shot himself and was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
His wife, later identified as Lourdes Martinez-Rodriguez, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body remained inside the car late Tuesday night.
Local 10 News has learned the couple's teenage daughter was in the car with her mother and witnessed the shooting.
