Man recruited McDonald's employees to steal credit card numbers, police say

Arrest report says Adrian Liggins used social media to recruit employees

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 19-year-old man is accused of using social media to recruit employees at McDonald's restaurants in Broward County to steal customers' credit card numbers.

Adrian Liggins was arrested Tuesday by Coral Springs police.

Police said Liggins paid employees between $120 and $140 for skimming during their shifts.

An arrest report said Liggins recruited the employees via social media.

In court Wednesday morning, Judge John Hurley said Liggins was providing card-skimming devices to employees and then using those numbers to fraudulently purchase merchandise.

One of those credit card numbers was used in the same day at the Sawgrass Mills mall and in Pennsylvania.

Liggins was being held on $25,000 bond.
