MIAMI -

A man was stabbed to death during an argument early Tuesday morning in Miami.

It happened behind a gas station at 5100 NW Seventh St. about 2:30 a.m.

Miami police said Reinaldo Martinez, 41, was the victim.

Police said an argument ensued between Martinez and another man, who pulled out a knife and stabbed Martinez several times.

Martinez ran to his mother's apartment nearby, where he collapsed. Police followed the trail of blood to Martinez.

"Once (officers) knocked on the door, they discovered the victim laying in a pool of blood," Sgt. Freddy Cruz said.

Martinez was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

Police are looking for the man who stabbed Martinez. He was last seen wearing a thick, dark jacket and carrying a small dog.
