DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are trying to identify a man they believe stole a Deerfield Beach gym member's backpack, clothing and several hundred dollars in cash.
The theft was reported March 11 at LA Fitness on Hillsboro Boulevard.
Surveillance video released Wednesday shows a man walking out of the gym wearing the stolen backpack.
BSO spokeswoman Gina Carter said someone stole the belongings of an LA Fitness member while he was working out.
Carter said the thief walked outside to the parking lot and used the victim's car keys to find his car. She said the man then stole hundreds of dollars from inside the car.
Detectives are trying to identify the gym thief, who had a large tattoo on his forearm.
