Man wearing New York hat robs Hialeah bank

Bank of America branch robbed Friday morning

The FBI says this man robbed a Bank of America branch Friday morning in Hialeah.

HIALEAH, Fla. ā€“ A man wearing a New York hat robbed a Hialeah bank Friday morning.

The robbery was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. at a Bank of America branch on Hialeah Drive.

FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock said the man entered the bank and demanded money from an employee.

Leverock said there were customers inside the bank at the time, but that no shots were fired and nobody was injured.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Surveillance photographs from the bank showed the man was wearing a hat with the letters "NY" on it. His left hand and wrist were also bandaged.
