McDonald's serves meals to police department spurned by Arby's

Offer follows Pembroke Pines officer being denied service by Arby's employee

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – You'll excuse the Pembroke Pines Police Department if they change their motto to "I'm Lovin' It."

Days after one of its officers was refused service at a local Arby's, the department was showered with love and food from McDonald's.

McDonald's served breakfast and lunch to the department, while Magic 102.7 and Whole Foods Market offered up all sorts of goodies to the officers.

"We're proud and honored for being part of such an amazing community," was posted on the department's Facebook page on Thursday. "A special thanks goes out to the individuals, businesses, and organizations who took time out of their day to visit the PD and show their support in person."

Sgt. Jennifer Martin filed a report Tuesday claiming an Arby's employee had refused her service when she attempted to order food. Arby's offered up an apology after Pembroke Pines Police Chief Dan Giustino chastised the fast-food franchise for the unacceptable behavior of its employees.

In a statement released Thursday, Arby's said it will be disciplining the employees involved; actions that could possibly include termination.
