Police looking for two men involved in Coral Gables burglary

CORAL GABLES, Fla. ā€“ Police are looking for two men who burglarized a home in Coral Gables and stole hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, Hugo Boss suits, and designer purses.

The men entered the home by smashing a window and climbing inside about 2:15 a.m. June 15.

"They broke the panels here and climbed in -- they never opened the window. They just crawled in through the hole," said the homeowner, who asked not to be identified. "We were going with the family for a Father's Day weekend in Captiva."

Once inside the home, the men stole men's suits, purses, and a safe containing several pieces of jewelry worth $92,000.

"The accomplice comes in and he opens the door -- he's already with his face covered," said the homeowner. "As he looks up, he looks at the camera, and you get an excellent, very clear video of his face."

"They emptied out my husband's closest. They left one lonely suit, which was a Calvin Klein. They took all the Hugo Boss," she added. "They took some very important jewelry, some family heirlooms, gifts from my grandmother, my father, you know, people who are gone."

The homeowner told Local 10 the total worth of the stolen items was about $173,950.45.

"We need to catch these guys," she said. "We live right now with a sense of fear. We've been terrorized and violated and we have small children here and we feel like we're not safe."
