The not-for-profit was named after a six-year-old girl who died of cancer last year. Bella Rodriguez-Torres was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that forms in muscle tissue.

Her dad, Raymond Rodriguez, wrote a book about the experience. Before Bella died, the "Pray For Bella" social media campaign got worldwide attention. The Miami Police Department named her the police chief before she died.

The One and Only Local 10 News' Johanna Torres reported earlier this week that the group of Miami police officers had raised $130,000 for the foundation.
