Motorcyclist dies after crash on Interstate 95

FHP says 48-year-old Youssef Souliki was ejected off motorcycle

MIAMI – A man is dead after being ejected from his motorcycle in a crash along I-95, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident happened Saturday at 4:54 p.m. on Southbound I-95 south of Copans Road.

According to FHP, 48-year-old Youssef Souliki was traveling in the left lane when for an unknown reason, he veered across the southbound lanes and left the roadway on the west shoulder.

FHP said Souliki's Harley motorcycle overturned, causing him to be ejected off the motorcycle.

Souliki was transported to Broward Health North where he was pronounced dead at 8:10 p.m. FHP said Souliki was not wearing a helmet.

Authorities said the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed this crash is asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol at 954-837-4012.
