HIALEAH, Fla. -

Police say the driver that struck a man riding his motorcycle and then left the scene has been taken into custody.

The incident happened Friday at West 16th Avenue and 56th Street in Hialeah.

Authorities said the driver fled after hitting the motorcyclist, but was later found by police in an apartment complex nearby at West 19th Avenue and 56th Street.

The driver's car had bullet holes that police said was from a previous incident.

The man driving the motorcycle was airlifted to Ryder Trauma. His condition was not given.
