NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The North Miami Beach Police Department has accepted an apology from BurgerFi after an employee asked an officer, "Do you shoot black people?" while she was placing an order.
North Miami Beach police said Sunday on Twitter that they forgive BurgerFi for the incident that took place in Aventura.

The owner of the location, Gino Gargiulo, had previously apologized for the employee's question.

The officer asked the restaurant not to fire the employee, Garigiulo said.
Instead, she requested that the restaurant’s employees and officers get together to discuss the incident.
