Oblivious Oakland Park burglar looks at security cameras, continues on

Deputies searching for 2 men involved in Feb. 25 burglary

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for two men who were captured on surveillance video burglarizing a home in Oakland Park.

Video from a neighbor's home the morning of Feb. 25 shows one of the men looking directly at a surveillance camera at a home in the area of West Prospect Road and 15th Way.

Deputies said the men arrived in a light-colored or silver four-door sedan, possibly a Ford. Surveillance video shows the passenger get out and knock on the front door of the home.

When no one answers, the man walks back toward the car, glancing directly at the security camera.

Surveillance video from other homes shows the men driving around the neighborhood for about 40 minutes.

The victim told deputies that she arrived home to find her back glass door smashed. She said jewelry and a laptop computer were taken.

According to deputies, the driver stayed in the car during the burglary.
