Overturned truck spills rocks, dirt on Florida's Turnpike

2 northbound lanes, exit ramp blocked during cleanup

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two northbound lanes of traffic and an exit ramp on Florida's Turnpike were closed Tuesday morning after a truck overturned, spilling its contents onto the highway.

The truck overturned about 7 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Northwest 106th Street.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the truck was carrying rocks and dirt that spilled onto the turnpike.

The driver wasn't injured, but cleanup crews spent several hours working to clear the debris.
