Owners of Las Olas bridal shop have yet to come forward amid allegations they left brides jilted

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ The owners of a Las Olas bridal shop that was closed down have yet to come forward, following Local 10 News reports regarding numerous brides who claim they were left jilted.

Local 10 News learned that the building where Victoria's Bridal Couture is located is owned by the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale. The church said they use a realty company to manage the property and don't know who leases the space.

The bridal shop is run by the Altine Corporation, under the names of Christopher and Julie Salerno, but numerous attempts to contact the pair have been unsuccessful.

Some of the women said their wedding dresses were dropped off at their homes in cardboard boxes. They claim they paid their dresses in full, only to have them returned ripped, unfinished or missing pieces.

"Don't send us dirty, ripped dresses. Especially when that's not what we bought. That's what I would say to them," said bride Marguerite Candia.

Some other wedding dress stores stepped in over the weekend to help some of the brides affected by the store's closure.
