Person hit by Tri-Rail; Delays, detours at Hollywood Boulevard

Passengers must use buses to avoid Hollywood Blvd. stop

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – The Tri-Rail system is dealing with delays as authorities investigate how someone was hit by a train Tuesday morning near the Hollywood station. 

According to Tri-Rail spokesperson Bonnie Arnold, there is no stop at the Hollywood station for the time being. As of 8 a.m., it was unclear when it would reopen.

Passengers traveling north from Miami must take a bus that is set up for them at the Golden Glades Station. They will be transported to Sheridan Street, where they will be able to board the northbound train.

Passengers traveling south must take a bus to get around the Hollywood station and transfer to get back on a southbound train.

At one point, the train involved in the collision was blocking traffic on Hollywood Boulevard. It has since been moved, allowing traffic to flow east and west along the road.

It is unclear how the person was hit or the condition of that victim.
