HIALEAH, Fla. – A man was killed Saturday night when a gun that he and two others were handling discharged in a parking lot at 3051 W. 76th St.
Hialeah police said Josue Sanchez, 20, was arrested on a charge of manslaughter in the shooting death of Lazaro Martinez, 19.

Police said Sanchez, Martinez and another man were smoking marijuana when they observed a gun in the waistband of one of the men. They took pictures with the loaded gun and when the victim handed it back to the owner, it discharged and struck Martinez in the hip.
Martinez was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said Sanchez displayed a reckless disregard for safety while under the influence of narcotics while handling a firearm.
