DAVIE, Fla. – The mother of a baby left at a Davie fire station last week is in jail facing battery and domestic violence charges.
Jessica Marquardt is being held on $5,000 bond.

She was in jail when she saw the baby on TV and later called the child's father who admitted he left the baby with a friend. That friend reportedly brought the child to the fire station.
Authorities say there appears to be no criminal intent, but the investigation continues.
