Man stabbed in Miami Beach

1 questioned, released for insufficient probable cause for arrest

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. ā€“ A man underwent surgery Monday morning after being stabbed in Miami Beach, police said.

Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said the man was robbed and stabbed in the abdomen shortly after 4:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

The man was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Rodriguez said one person of interest was detained for questioning and then released due to insufficient probable cause for an arrest.

Detectives are searching for two men. One of the attackers was wearing dark clothing and the other was wearing a dark top with red shorts and was armed with a knife.

Rodriguez said the victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
