Police release hoax phone calls reporting shooting at Lil Wayne's house

Caller: 'I just shot 4 people'

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Miami Beach police have released the telephone calls made by someone falsely claiming to have shot four people at the waterfront home of rapper Lil Wayne.

"I just shot four people, killing whoever else I see," the caller told a police dispatcher who answered the non-emergency number. "I don't give a f--- if you're a cop or not. I'm shooting to kill everyone and everything, you f---ing b----."

In a second call, what sounded like another man made a similar claim to the police dispatcher.

"I just shot, like, four people," the man said.

The man asked the dispatcher if she was sending help.

"When did you do this?" she asked.

"A couple minutes ago," the man replied.

The dispatcher then asked why he did it.

"Because I felt like it," the caller said. "I don't know."

Police converged upon the La Gorce Island home Wednesday afternoon before the SWAT team entered and determined that it was a hoax.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., wasn't home at the time of the incident.

The man or men who made the call haven't been determined.
