MIAMI ā€“ Miami police are looking for a police impersonator after a man was robbed.

According to police, the robbery happened on Northwest 35th Street and 14th Avenue in Miami around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the man posed as a Miami police officer and wore a duty belt, Miami police hat and a gold badge, which are typically worn by those of rank, such as a sergeant.

The impersonator pulled his car alongside the victim's vehicle and yelled to the victim, "Police. I saw you coming from a drug house."

Police said they are now searching for a white man between the age of 20 and 25, approximately 150 pounds, with a slim but slight muscular build.

The man may also be wearing a police hat, black, long-sleeved shirt, black pants, gold badge, duty belt, handcuffs, Taser and a firearm in a holster.

Police said the vehicle he was driving is a dark blue 2008, possible Chevy Impala with dark tint and a temporary tag with a translucent cover over it.
