Donald Trump's new campaign chief under investigation over voting record

Controversy surrounds Breibart News' Stephen Bannon

MIAMI – Donald Trump's new campaign chief  Stephen Bannon, of Breibart News, has plenty of skeletons in the closet. And they are coming back to haunt him.

His ex-wife accused him of making anti-Semitic comments and domestic violence. A former colleague accused of sexual harassment. BuzzFeed published the anti-gay slurs he used during a 2011 interview on Monday.

And on Wednesday, a Miami-Dade County election official confirmed the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office requested Bannon's voter records last week as part of an investigation.

The county election supervisor's assistant Rosy Pastrana told NBC News that she didn't notice any signs of fraud, but  added Bannon, 62, used his social security number and not a Florida driver's license to register to vote in Florida.

The Guardian reported last week he used the address of a vacant home he had rented for his ex-wife from 2013-2015 in Miami to register to vote.  The home in Coconut Grove is due to be demolished to make way for a new development, homeowner Luis Guevara told The Guardian.
