Craig Naughtin accused of robbing Wells Fargo

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A man accused of robbing a Pompano Beach bank Tuesday has been arrested.

FBI spokesman Jim Marshall said Craig Naughtin, 43, was taken into custody Wednesday morning in Pompano Beach.

Naughtin is suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo bank on North Federal Highway.

The FBI said Naughtin, who had a distinctive tattoo of the Superman "S" on his arm, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash while customers were inside the bank.

According to the arrest affidavit, Broward Sheriff's Office deputies spotted Naughtin walking along Sample Road early Wednesday morning and recognized him as the man from the surveillance photographs of the robbery. Deputies said Naughtin had $3,561 in his possession, as well as a a note that read, "No this is not a joke all the money in the cash draw, no GPS, no dye packs, I'll be on my way no problems."

Naughtin faces federal charges and is expected to appear before a judge in Fort Lauderdale.
