Reward offered to find lost puppy

Owner: Puppy has serious medical conditions, must take medicine daily

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – The owner of a puppy is offering a reward to find her lost dog, which she said went missing Sunday.

Shelly Murdock said her puppy, Neptune, escaped while she was out of town. He was left with family members, and Murdock said the door was left open for a few minutes and he got out.

Murdock said her puppy may have been picked up by a man in a white pickup truck Sunday morning on Inverrary Drive in Lauderhill.

Murdock believes the man wanted to get her puppy out of the street so he wouldn't get hit. She said the man probably has Neptune, but doesn't know where to return him.

Murdock made calls to several veterinary hospitals, police stations and to animal rescue, but hasn't had any luck.

Neptune has serious medical conditions and must take his medicine daily, according to Murdock. She said she is worried that whoever has him will not take him to a vet and something might happen to him.

Neptune is described as very tiny, weighing only 3 pounds.

Because Neptune is usually with her, Murdock said he does not have an ID tag or a micro-chip.

A $400 reward is now being offered. If you have seen Neptune or know his whereabouts, you can email Shelly Murdock at HelpFindNeptune1@gmail.com.
