MIAMI – A day after video surfaced of Milo Yiannopoulos condoning pedophilia, the right-wing blogger resigned from his post as Senior Editor at Breitbart News.
No stranger to controversy, Yiannopoulos drew criticism from all sides after the video was released showing him endorsing sexual relationships with young boys.
“Breitbart News has stood by me when others caved," Yiannopoulos said in a statement released Tuesday. "They have allowed me to carry conservative and libertarian ideas to communities that would otherwise never have heard them. They have been a significant factor in my success. I’m grateful for that freedom and for the friendships I forged there."
Yiannopoulos scheduled appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference this week was canceled and a book deal with Simon & Schuster was called off.
