MIAMI – A Scottish soldier who was found dead on a sidewalk while visiting Miami for the Ultra Music Festival in March died of blunt head injuries, a newly released medical examiner's report stated.
According to a Miami New Times report, surveillance video from a nearby traffic light showed Shaun Cole, 22, plummet head-first to the ground off of a two-story building.

It's unclear why he separated from his friends or how he got on the roof of the building.
His body was discovered the morning of March 29 on the east side of Biscayne Boulevard between 80th and 81st streets, a few feet away from a CrossFit gym.
Witnesses said they never saw Cole on top of a building but said they saw him running and bleeding from his ears when he suddenly collapsed and died.
Cole was on vacation with two friends for the downtown Miami music festival. The private from Edinburgh, Scotland, returned home in April from a tour of duty in Sierra Leone with the Royal Scots Borderers, protecting in the fight against Ebola.
His friends told police that the group has consumed cocaine, beer and other alcoholic drinks before Cole disappeared.
The medical examiner's report confirms that Cole's blood-alcohol content was .12. He also had traces of cocaine and various chemicals in his urine and blood, including ethylone.
Police said ethylone is often marketed as the more commonly known drug, molly. But police said ethylone contains similar chemicals used in flakka and bath salts, and can cause "excited delirium," causing the user to hallucinate, have psychomotor agitation, anxiety or think they have superhuman strength.
