'Snuggle Delivery' hopes to soothe work stress, find forever homes

Humane Society of Broward begins unique fundraiser

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. ā€“ A new program is trying to soothe the stresses and demands of the workplace.

The Humane Society of Broward County has started a new program called "Snuggle Delivery," which brings puppies and kittens into the workplace. The program aims not only to help ease workers' days, but also get some of the animals adopted.

"Snuggle Delivery (is) to bring puppies and kitten to businesses to try and get them adopted, build relationships with some of these businesses in our community, and we also are able to fundraise some money for the shelter, too," Adam Goldberg of the Humane Society said.

Snuggle deliveries require a minimum donation of $500 to the Humane Society of Broward County.

The unique fundraiser began in April and with just a dozen visits to local businesses, they have already raise more than $6,000 and adopted out about 20 animals.
