BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – A South Florida woman used someone else's personal information to secure a rental apartment, police said.
Elexes Walls, 25, of Delray Beach, was arrested Thursday on charges of fraudulent use of personal identification and organized scheme to defraud.

Boynton Beach police said Walls used a woman's personal information to submit online resident applications at four apartment complexes in Palm Beach County, including Indian Hills.
According to a police report, Walls' application had been approved at Indian Hills, so the leasing agent contacted her to arrange for a tour of the apartment. Walls also gave the leasing agent a $275 money order to pay for the administrative fee.
Megan Kilgore, whose identity was compromised, went to police after she received an alert on her phone from a credit monitoring service that several residential communities had inquired about her credit score.
According to the report, Walls met with the leasing agent at Indian Hills and signed the lease as "Megan Kilgore."
An undercover police detective waiting outside the apartment arrested Walls after she signed the lease.
Police said Walls told them that she was paid $460 in cash by someone she knew only as "Shaquavia" to secure the apartment.
Walls is being held at the main Palm Beach County jail on $30,000 bond.
