Sunrise Middle School evacuated after bomb threat

Students allowed back in classrooms after no bomb found

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Fort Lauderdale middle school was evacuated Wednesday morning because of a bomb threat.

Police were called to Sunrise Middle School about 10:45 a.m.

Students could be seen congregating outside the school.

Police had bomb-sniffing dogs searching the campus.

A Broward County school district spokeswoman said no bomb was found and students were given the all clear to return to their classrooms shortly after 11:30 a.m.
