Surveillance images show 2 people of interest in bar shooting

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office has released surveillance images that show two people of interest in a weekend shooting at a North Lauderdale bar.

The shooting was reported just before 3 a.m. Saturday at the Players Bar and Grill at 5280 N. State Road 7.

Terry Anthony Thompson, 34, was shot several times. Detectives believe that he was involved in an altercation with the two men after Thompson's car was blocked in by a white older-model Chevrolet Suburban.

Deputies said the driver of the Chevy, which has a rusted hood, fired at Thompson in front of a large crowd.

Thompson was shot several times in the chest and torso. He managed to walk from his car back to the restaurant's front door before collapsing.

He was taken to Broward Health Medical Center. His condition has not been released.

The gunman is described as a black man in his late 20s. He is about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and has a thin build. A larger man with dreadlocks is also believed to have been involved in the altercation.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
