BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – A man wanted in the beating of a motorcyclist at a Boynton Beach gas station surrendered to police after his mother saw on Facebook that he was wanted in connection with the crime, police said.
Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said Deontris T. Miller, 24, turned himself in Monday afternoon.

Slater said Miller told officers his mother discovered he was wanted by police after she saw photographs and video of him on Facebook earlier in the day.
Miller is the third suspect in Saturday morning's beating outside a Chevron gas station. Joseph Travis, 20, and Damien Andrews, 21, were previously arrested.
A 48-year-old man told police he ignored three men who asked if he wanted to buy drugs and walked inside the gas station when one of the men pushed his motorcycle to the ground. A fight ensued and the men repeatedly punched and kicked the victim.
Slater said one of the men tried to take the victim's wallet from his pocket while he was on the ground.
Miller was being held at the Palm Beach County Main Detention Center.
