Suspect gets caught after leaving Facebook page open on victim's iPad

PLANTATION KEY, Fla. – A 16-year-old boy is charged with burglary and theft after stealing a pop tart and soda from a home in Plantation Key, deputies said.

According to authorities, the suspect was captured after leaving his Facebook page logged in on the victim's iPad.

The victim told deputies that he and his wife returned home on Wednesday afternoon to find that someone had entered their home and moved stuff around. He said they never lock their front door and said he doesn't even have a key to it.

The victim told deputies that his iPad browser's history revealed that the suspect had also visited several pornography sites.

Detectives discovered that the suspect attend Coral Shores High School. They said he admitted to entering the home several times and said he ate a Pop-Tart and drank a soda while he was there.
