NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The teen caught on video throwing a woman into a pool against her will at a North Lauderdale party has been given probation and community service.
Leon Balfour, 16, will serve 200 hours of community service, but will avoid jail time.

Balfour made headlines in May when video surfaced of him throwing Nancy James into a pool after she asked partygoers to turn down the noise at the Player's Place apartments.
In the video, Balfour can be seen lifting James up, but then slipping to the ground on the wet surface. The teen then lifts James up again and throws her into the pool.
As James' dogs were also involved in the incident, Balfour must perform 100 hours of the community service at an animal shelter or Humane Society.
The other 100 hours of service must be served with the elderly and pay restitution to James.
Balfour, who turned himself in days after the incident, was ordered into home detention immediately after the incident.
"It just shouldn't happen," James said at the time. "The kid has not evolved yet into what you're supposed to be as a human being."
Balfour's attorney, Paul Molle, claimed his client wanted to apologize to James, who suffered bruises on her shoulder and leg.
“We feel this decision is reasonable under the circumstances," said Rolle. "It is a fair and just resolution."
The judge said Tuesday that Balfour's lenient sentence was due in part to James' compassion towards the teen.
James said she is on the association board of the complex and that she'd received several complaints about the noise level.
