Trader Joe's began in California, but has since spread across the country, becoming popular with fans of its low prices and large selection. It opened its first South Florida store in 2013, in Pinecrest, followed by locations in Delray Beach, Pembroke Pines and Boca Raton.

A Fort Lauderdale location is also in the works, but no formal opening day has been announced.
