Truck gets stuck in sinkhole in Miami

Water main break causes severe flooding in area

MIAMI – A truck got stuck in a sinkhole in Miami on Thursday after a water main break in the area.

The incident was reported around the afternoon rush hour in the area of Northeast 72nd Street and Fourth Court.

A tow truck has removed the truck from the sinkhole, but the water main break caused severe flooding in the area.

Mario Cuellar said the water even got into his auto shop, causing about $50,000 in damage.

"We do have risk assessment personnel on their way to meet with him," Miami-Dade County Water & Sewer Department representative Adriana Lamar told Local 10 News.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
