TSA agent Latwana Daniels arrested on drug charges

Mother also faces charges of child neglect

Latwana Daniels was arrested on drug and child abuse charges.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā€“ A Transportation Security Administration agent has been placed on administrative leave after her arrest on drug charges.

Latwana Daniels was arrested early Sunday morning at her southwest Miami-Dade County home.

Daniels, 33, is a mother and 1998 graduate of Miami Southridge High School.

She also faces a charge of child neglect.

TSA spokesman Ollie Cooperwood said in a statement that the agency is the process of terminating her employment.

"TSA holds its employees to the highest ethical standards and expects all TSA employees to conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism, both in and outside the workplace," Cooperwood said.

Miami-Dade police didn't elaborate on the charges.

Daniels was being held without bond.
