Deputies say woman refused to comply with order of flight crew

MIAMI – A woman on board a U.S. Airways flight has been charged after deputies say she refused to comply with the orders of the flight crew.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the pilot wanted the woman, who was with her 2-year-old son at the time, escorted off of the plane.

Three deputies came in to take her off the plane, but deputies said she became physical with them. There were reports that she had bit one of the deputies.

The woman has been charged with battery on a law enforcement officer. Her name hasn't been released by authorities at this time.

TSA said they may charge the woman federally due to her disrupting the flight.

The woman's child was taken to its father by authorities.
