U.S. contracted counter-drug aircraft crashes in Caribbean; 4 killed

MIAMI – A U.S. contracted detection and monitored aircraft crashed into the Caribbean Sea Sunday around 2 a.m. near the Colombia-Panama border.

Of the six crewmembers on board, four were killed.

The aircraft was monitoring coastal drug trafficking lanes in the Western Caribbean.

Names of the victims have not yet been released.
