BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -

The Broward Sheriff's Office says various components of the U.S. Department of Defense will be conducting routine training Monday through Thursday in Broward County.

The training will take place at different locations throughout the county, deputies said.

"The sites have been carefully selected to minimize the impact on the daily routine of residents and visitors," BSO said in a statement.

Deputies said the respective law enforcement agencies will provide any needed support.

This training, which has been conducted by military personnel in cities across the country, is designed to certify service members in urban environment operations in preparation for upcoming overseas deployments, according to BSO.

Deputies said this training is not open to the public or media due to safety and security concerns.
