Video released of Broward Circuit Judge Cynthia Imperato's DUI arrest

Imperato set for hearing on Dec 2

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Boca Raton Police Department on Friday released the dash cam video shot the night that Broward Circuit judge Cynthia Imperato was arrested for DUI.

The video shows the judge initially refusing to exit the car during the November 5 arrest.

"I'm not doing anything until I talk to my lawyer," Imperato told the officer.

She also refused to submit to a roadside sobriety test and a breathalyzer test, which prompts a mandatory year-long suspension of her driver's license, before walking to the car in what appears to be an unsteady manner. She was then arrested.

After missing three days on the bench, Imperato was voluntarily transferred from the criminal division to work on civil foreclosure cases.

She is set for her first hearing on the DUI charge December 2.
