Tavares Fullington, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene and another man, Matthew Williams, 28, was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospitalā€™s Ryder Trauma Center, where he was taken into surgery and listed in critical condition.

Ā Relatives told Local 10 News reporter Neki Mohan that they were told that Fullington was begging for his life when he was killed.

"We got a phone call saying that he had gotten shot, and they said that whoever did it...They said he was begging for his life," a relative said.

According to Miami-Dade police, officers were called to the area after reports of an assault. When they arrived they found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Fullington is survived by his wife and 3-year-old daughter.

Detectives said the gunmen drove off in a newer model gray Dodge Charger.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
