AUBURN, Wash. – Presidential nominee Donald Trump has promised a lot of things in his run for the White House, but getting drivers out of tickets is not one of them.
After pulling over a car driving in an HOV lane with a rather large "passenger" Tuesday morning, a Washington State Trooper was shocked to find a giant cardboard cutout of Donald Trump's head strapped to the front seat.
Trooper Rick Johnson tweeted that a fellow trooper had pulled over the vehicle in Auburn, Washington and asked "Do you know why?"
The answer is, of course, that cardboard cutouts of anyone, including presidential candidates, do not allow drivers to ride in the carpool lane.
When Johnson was asked how much the citation would cost the driver, a follower responded, "a YUGE amount."
However, the actual fine for an HOV violation is $136, a sum even a non-Trump can afford.
