According to an arrest affidavit, Largo police were called to a home at 2066 N. Belcher Road after someone reported seeing a man smashing a mailbox.

When police arrived, Thomas was "sitting shirtless and covered in dirt."

According to the affidavit, a trailer tire was flattened, a window to the house was broken, and a mailbox, a real estate sign and a garden angel were destroyed.

Police said Thomas admitted to damaging the property.

"The defendant stated he had listened to too much music and masturbated too much and he felt like going out and destroying stuff," the affidavit said.

Police said Thomas also damaged a boat on the property, causing about $1,000 worth of damage.

Thomas admitted to vandalizing the boat because he was "envisioning destroying other people's lives," the affidavit said.

He was taken to the Pinellas County Jail, where he remained Tuesday. His bond was set at $7,000.
