VERO BEACH, Fla. – A Florida woman did not help her cause by yelling "eat me" to the Florida State Trooper who was arresting her on DUI and cocaine possession charges.

The Sebastian Daily reports Kate Santana, 29, was stopped after she ran through a red light in the Vero Beach area.

While approaching the car, the trooper smelled alcohol. When he asked Santana why she ran through the red light, she replied "I thought it was a flashing light."

Santana, who was driving on a suspended license, said she had consumed one beer when the trooper noticed she was slurring her words. After agreeing to take a sobriety test, Santana told the trooper that she was pregnant with twins.

However, when it came to submitting a breath sample, Santana agreed by saying "Yeah, I'll take the (expletive) test," but then changed her mind.

When asked by the trooper whether she understood her rights, Santana replied, "eat me," and showcased her middle finger in an obscene gesture.

Santana was booked on charges of Felony Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor DUI and Operating with a Suspended License.
